My first attempt at a haunted house mystery which I have always wanted to write and elements of my own time studying abroad in Granada, Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a disastrous senior year, eighteen-year-old Aurora Rivers is desperate for escape\u2014from her mother\u2019s death, her father\u2019s new fianc\u00e9e, and the art school rejection letters. When her long-dormant ability to read auras resurfaces, it only makes her feel more broken. Convinced she needs to reinvent herself, Aurora leaps at an opportunity to study abroad in southern Spain.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between the cobblestone streets and late-night tapas with new friends, Aurora finds the fresh start she craves\u2014especially when she meets Mateo, whose mysterious dark aura both unsettles and intrigues her. E. With forest and unlikely city allies, Layli stops the bad guy and saves the land. Something like that at least &#8211; i wrote this while exploring wild rivers in Montana and learned so much about writing and that I could tie an idea together from start to finish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This book will probably stay in the &#8220;drawer&#8221; of Google Docs collecting dust, but it has a place in my heart and if anyone ever wants to revive this YA fantasy novel with potential, I am game!  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I write speculative fiction books for adults and teens often with ecological themes and a dash of magic.
